2 透ける布に刺繍をし、模様を影のように透けて見せる、刺繍の技法。

2 A type of embroidery on sheer fabric with most of the embroidery being on the underside of the fabric so that the “shadow” of the thread is visible on the front side of the fabric within a thread outline.
